So I will have to admit when I got a message from Tara asking me if I would like to “play” with this collection, I squealed a little. Okay….yeah…I did put all my info out there on her post asking for interested swatchers that can watermarble, and I did say some silent prayers, but I never get my hopes up because there are SO many talented bloggers/swatchers out there. But….as you can see, she gave me a chance to show you all what’s in this collection and how it performs. I’m going to show you swatches, some watermarble art, and a stamping design (because it does stamp as well). I’ll have my nail art tutorial up on my IG account if you would like to see it in action. http://www.instagram.com/4luvofnailart
Soooooo….without much further blabbing, Here is Nana’s Island. This 3-pc collection was inspired by Tara’s momma’s travels to Exuma Island in the Bahamas (her favorite place on Earth). This launches on April 12th at 9 p.m. EST and will be $8.50 each or $23 for the set. (PS….You’re gonna NEED the whole set!!!)
First up to bat, is Thunderball Grotto. This beautiful creme is a soft yellow-orange. These cremes cover amazingly in two coats. I had to use 3 in all my pictures because of habit for one, and two, I have deep nail ridges. These cremes are on the thinner side of cremes which make the perfect for watermarbling, but the beauty is that they also stamp.
On second base is Tropic of Cancer, a burnt orange creme. I have to say that I wasn’t too sure of this color when I first saw it, but after swatching and doing some nail art, I love this color! This is one of those that you need in your polish collection, but don’t actually know you do until you have it. It is that color that you’re searching for to do some art, but just don’t have it. Well, now you can. Just look at how gorgeous this is as just a basic mani color!! This covered perfectly in two coats! I even stopped there before my habit of 3.
And rounding 3rd is Paradise Bay. This is a creamy aqua that absolutely makes you feel like you are in the tropics. This color is such a refreshing color. This one I was also able to get full opacity in 2 coats. Thin enough to watermarble with, but not too thin so it is able to stamp. How much more perfect can a polish be?
And to bring it on home, I’ve got some nail art I’ve done with these 3. I haven’t done this many designs with a single collection before, but once I started playing with these, I didn’t want to stop…especially in the water.
To summarize….Nana’s Island is a Grand Slam, no doubt!! This 3-pc collection launches on April 12th at 9 p.m. EST and will be $8.50 each or $23 for the set. You can order this at http://www.bravesdivapolish.com. TAT is 10-14 business days. So make sure you don’t miss out on this!! And don’t just take my word for it, I’ve seen other swatches and nail art and everyone is gorgeous. You can see more by joining the Brave’s Diva Polish Bleacher Creatures Group on Facebook.
Swatch Note: My images are taken in a lightbox indoors with two ottlights and a DSLR camera. Some Pictures may be taken in different lighting or outdoor sun depending on what is needed, but this will be referenced if done. Editing for cropping and watermark are done and only editing for color correction if needed.
This is a #prsample, but all views are my own honest opinion. Should there be any issues with any polish, I will resolve with the maker first for a chance to correct.
